Vinyl Record Grading Scale (Visual)
M (Mint) The vinyl and the label look new - perfect condition
NM (Near Mint) The vinyl and/or the label have one or two slight flaws
EX (Excellent) The vinyl has nearly all of it's original gloss but may have a couple of light surface scuffs or scratches. The label is in excellent condition
VG+ (Very Good Plus) The vinyl has light scuffs and scratches and there might be some light groove wear / graying. The label might be a little worn or marred by writing or tape residue.
VG (Very Good) The defects found on a VG+ record will be a little more pronounced on a VG record. There might be some surface noise, especially during soft passages and song intros and fades. The label might be worn or marred by writing or tape residue.
G+ (Good Plus) The vinyl has many scuffs and scratches, the grooves are worn and might be graying or turning white and surface noise will be more pronounced. The label might be very worn or marred by writing or tape residue.
G (Good) Pretty much the same as G+ with the defects a little more pronounced and the label might be unreadable or missing.
Good and Good Plus ratings does not mean bad, it shows that it has significant wear and might have a couple of little skips but it will still play through.
