A ready made Beatles record package and a super opportunity for a budding collector as follows:

With the Beatles

PMC 1206
XEX 447 7N/XEX 448 7N

Early & collectable UK mono pressing to the best of my knowledge.

Firstly, the record:

Visually it's aged well with only a handful of very light marks. No significant deep impact damage.
Labels are clean and unmarked with very little spindle damage.
I have play tested this record from start to finish (no *visual testing only* nonsense) & it is great. Really only the very bare minimum of sound deterioration. I generally recommend a professional clean with these early copies but to be honest this one isn't in desperate need. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Secondly, the sleeve.

As far as damage is concerned there is a little tear on the edge as per the picture. This is the only noteworthy flaw with this 56 year old item. Otherwise clean & unmarked. The back of the sleeve is pretty amazing. They are generally grubby & discoloured due to being unlaminated but this one is really one of the cleanest I've seen. Spine is strong, sharp & readable. The pictures tell a thousand words.

Original emitex inner is completely strong, unmarked and intact if slightly discoloured. Better than most.

Further notes:

G & L flipback sleeve.

Track B3 is mis printed as *You Really Gotta Hold on Me* on the sleeve.

KT tax code on side B.

This is probably one of the nicer copies of this super album on eBay at the moment & unless you're after a museum piece, I doubt you'll want to upgrade it.

A Hard Day's Night

PMC 1230
XEX 481 3N/XEX 482 3N

Early & sought after UK mono pressing to the best of my knowledge.

Firstly, the record.

Visually, pretty clean with light markings (slightly more so on side A than side B) but no deep impact damage. Clean & unmarked labels. Light spindle wear but nothing of particular significance. Sounds great from start to finish with no particular sound deterioration.

Secondly, the sleeve.

Very clean, tidy, strong and unmarked. Undamaged apart from slight edge wear but again nothing of particular significance. Spine is sharp and legible. The pictures tell a thousand words.

Further notes:

G & L flipback sleeve.

KT tax code on side B.

Again, generally a strong copy which has been taken care of. Unless you're after a stone cold museum piece, I doubt that you'll want to upgrade this one.

Help!

First & collectable UK mono pressing to the best of my knowledge.

PMC 1255
XEX 549 2/XEX 550 2

Firstly, the record.

This one has seen plenty of action. Slightly warped which you won't really notice when you handle it but it doesn't quite sit flush on the turntable. Plenty of light marks both sides but no particularly deep impact damage. This is playable but I noticed a skip or two on side two. Nothing I would describe as overwhelming the entire listen. The sound is slightly murky though so I would advocate a professional clean with this one. Labels are clean but show the spindle wear that one would generally expect from a well used record.

Secondly, the sleeve.

Slightly shabby with some unfortunate biro marking on the back but otherwise strong and intact. Showing some age at the edge but the spine is pretty sharp and readable.

Further notes:

KT tax code on side A.

G & L flipback sleeve.

This one is a serviceable survivor which you might consider upgrading further down the line. Condition wise this is the weakest of the bunch but really it's not unforgivable.

Please Please Me

Seventies UK stereo repress to the best of my knowledge.

PCS 3042
YEX 94 2/YEX 95 4

Firstly, the record.

Wonderful condition. Hardly marked at all with no spindle damage. Labels similarly good. This record has seldom seen a fingerprint let alone all that much turntable action.

Secondly, the sleeve.

Clean, tidy and unmarked. Spine is strong and readable. Looks like it was taken off the shelf yesterday.

This item has been looked after and has aged very well indeed.

Not the most collectable pressing of this iconic classic but it sounds good & is easy on the eye nonetheless. Maybe one to be upgraded to an earlier pressing in the future but it's much cooler than a modern day supermarket copy at any rate.

Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Late seventies or early eighties Canadian stereo repress to the best of my knowledge.

SMAS 2653
SMAS 1 2653 G31/SMAL 2 2653 G38

Firstly, the record.

Smashing condition. Hardly marked at all with no spindle damage. Labels similarly good. This record has seldom seen a fingerprint let alone all that much turntable action.

Secondly, the sleeve.

Legendary gatefold is clean, tidy and unmarked. Spine is strong, pleasingly wide and readable. The Fool inner is present & tidy. Looks like it was taken off the shelf yesterday except from the slightest of corner knocks which hardly even merits a mention.

This item has been looked after and has aged very well indeed.

Again- not the most sought after pressing of this LP in the world. However, the fact it's in such good shape with the insert makes it collectable enough in its own right.

All of which is as honest and accurate as possible but I'll gladly answer any further questions.

You'll appreciate that there's only so much of 5 records I can show with 12 pictures. However, I hope I've provided enough detail to make up for this.

These are old & none of them have been used as a dinner plates any more than they've been kept in a bank vault. Some of them are better than others and if you're realistic with your expectations then you'll be happy with them.

As far as I can make out, the total median selling price of these 5 records on discogs is North of £75. Sensible offers welcome.

I post promptly and securely and I make no money on postage.

Check out my feedback, bid with confidence, & thanks for looking.
