This is the finest specimen of this recording on planet earth. The cover and record are both in archival, just issued condition. Recorded in 1958, this is probably the most sought after of all the original Blue Note recordings. This FIRST PRESSING has both RVG and THE EAR stamped into the runoff vinyl. The vinyl is hefty,, substantial and completely clean. It plays very quietly, virtually without any extraneous sound whatsoever. It is quiet. Very, very quiet. The vinyl is shiny and lustrous and looks like it has never been played. It sounds that way too. The labels are perfect and show no indications of any spindle marks. The cover is fresh and looks like it just came off the presses. There is not even a hint of any splitting or tears along the seams. Please magnify and study the pictures before bidding. I purchased this record from the famous auctioneer Leon Leavitt, who sold records all over the world from his headquarters in Sun Valley, California. We became friends in the 1980s, and he would allow me the come to his warehouse and pick from his inventory the best cover and record in his jazz stock. This particular record was very special to him and he was only willing to sell it when he was diagnosed with stage four diabetes and given a short time to live. He deeply regretted parting with it, as I do.  It will be impossible to ever upgrade this copy. It is truly extraordinary in every way.

Please bid responsibly. If you have fewer than 30 positive feedback transactions, please do not bid without prior permission. All payment must be made via Paypal within 48 hours of the close of auction. The record will be packaged securely in a hardback box filled with bubbles and styrofoam shock absorbers. I  ship internationally and the cost will depend on the postal charges incurred. No profit is made on shipping. Bid freely as I am an experienced seller and my references speak for themselves.  Good luck.
