There are rock albums, and then there is 'Let It Bleed,' an album bookended by the two of the most iconic Rolling Stones songs--"Gimme Shelter" and "You Can't Always Get What You Want"--and for fun, throws in underrated country-rock classics like "Love in Vain" and "Country Honk." Other Rolling Stones albums might get more publicity, but this one has as its centerpiece a song called "Let It Bleed" that is confirmed to be the best song to hear at 4:45 a.m. when you're down and out. It turns 50 this year, as these things do, and if you don't own it, you need it.
Pressed on a limited run of 2500 on 180g Coke Bottle Clear vinyl and remastered by Bob Ludwig at Third Man Studios, this is one of the most collectible and worthwhile Stones releases to have in a collection!
