If you are bidding for vinyl you are familiar with a number of grading standards. I follow Goldmine, grading conservatively vinyl, label, insert and cover. I have been listening to music all my life and collecting for the past 50+ years, so I understand how important accuracy is when describing the condition of an album being sold. My feedback rating reflects that precisely. I grade visually and spot check the audio quality playing back on a VPI 1.1 Scout turntable with a Hana EL cartridge, powered by a Conrad Johnson PV5 tube preamp, connected to a Almarro tube amp pushing a pair of excellent modified Zu Omen speakers.

I can not listen to every record I own, so I have decided to part with those that I do not absolutely love, have not listened to for a long while or have doubles of. All the records I will be selling are from my personal collection or very special acquisitions from other private collections. I will be posting a little bit of everything from Rock to Reggae, Psych to Folk, Latin to Jazz and even Classical. Vinyl is Alive!

All records cleaned professionally on a VPI record cleaner! I take very good care of my records, hope you will continue to do the same!

Vinyl grading is usually based on the Goldmine standard and is as follows:

S - Sealed - Factory Sealed, old or new, as is and cannot be returned after opened.

M - Mint - a near perfect, played once record.

NM - Near Mint - in factory near perfect condition, almost like new, could have been played more than once.

EX -  Excellent close to Near Mint with only superficial signs of use that don't affect play.

VG+ - Very Good Plus will have obvious signs of wear and the possibility of a few scuffs and/or some surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still a very enjoyable play.

VG - Very Good is a little more worn, has marks and usually more frequent surface noise then VG+ but still plays better than Good.

G - In the record world, "Good" is how much you are willing to tolerate when you are listening to music. Sometimes a Good record is worth having depending on the age, collectability and the condition of the cover.
