This listing is for The Beatles "Alpha Omega, Vol. 2" Black Box Vinyl 4 LP Set  ATRBH.  I bought this record set new many years ago.  I was and still am a Beatles fan. I have listed these records in used condition, but they are in really good condition.  I haven't had a turntable in probably 30 years.  The box containing the records (cover)  I have listed in good condition.  There are no splits anywhere on the box.  There are a good deal of shelf marks on the box.  Stopped playing vinyl when CD's were introduced so am not able to test these records.  It' been many  years since I bought this set.  Close to 47 years ago.  I don't recall playing these records much as I already had every Beatles album released.  By the way in case your Greek is not very good, I believe Alpha Omega translates to Before and After.  Please correct me if I am wrong.  I won't be offended.

Here is some interesting information regarding this set.  Don't remember where I stole it from but here it is:
In January 1973, two pirated Beatles box sets appeared in the United States, Alpha Omega Volumes I & II: The Story Of The Beatles (Audio Tape, Inc. ATRBH 3583).  These four-lp collections were advertised on TV and radio stations in the Midwest and were sold by mail order.  Instead of taking legal action, Capitol Records countered by putting out two official Beatles anthologies.  The Beatles 1962-1966 (US:Apple SKBO 3403) and The Beatles 1967-1970 (US:  Aple SKBO 304).  However, in March, a $15 million dollar lawsuit was filed by manager Allen Klein on behalf of George Harrison, along with Capitol and Apple Records, against the manufacturers and distributors of the bootleg package, and against American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., who had been advertising it.
Since I listed these sets a few weeks ago I have heard from a number of folks who are very knowledgeable about these sets.  First and what probably explains a lot of the dependencies found in these sets is that there were numerous plants producing these sets and apparently they did not communicate with each other very well.  Hence the different Volume II sets in existence.  What I have discovered, and I'm sure there are more. is there was a pink box volume II, a black box volume II and the track listing for the two different sets were identical.  There apparently was a volume II black box set that did not include 2 tracks.  The listing you are looking at here is the black box volume II set that includes all the tracks the pink box set includes.  Another interesting thing about this set is that the back is blank (see picture 2).  There is no track listing.  Picture 7 is a picture of the volume II track listing I took of the back of the volume II pink box listing.  I compared the tracks on all 4 records is the set and they are exactly the same.  Another major feature is that the volume II black box does not list the set as volume II on the box cover.  Each record label however identifies the record as volume II.  A special thanks to all those who contacted me and shared their knowledge.
This listing  is for Volume II of the four 4 record set.  I also have Volume I the four record set, listed on E-Bay.  You can view this listing by clicking on seller's other items above.  If you would like both sets contact me and we can discuss a better price.
