Classic. The masterpiece album ‘Tapestry’, is the

second studio album by American singer-songwriter

Carole King, released in 1971 on Ode Records and

produced by Lou Adler. It is one of the best-selling

albums of all time, with over 25 million copies sold.

Tapestry" was ranked US number 1 for 15 weeks,

which remains the longest time for any album by a

female to occupy that position and remained in the

charts for over six years.

The album also garnered four Grammy Awards

including Album of the Year, Best Female Pop Vocal

Performance, Record of the Year ("It's Too Late"),

and Song of the Year ("You've Got a Friend").

In 2003, the album was ranked number 36 on Rolling

Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of

all time.
