Formed July 1974, Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France Disbanded October 1979 Members André Fisichella (drums, percussion), Frédéric L'Épée (guitars), Didier Lustig (keyboards), Serge Summa (bass guitar) Related Artists Philharmonie, Yang Fantastic totally instrumental progressive rock from France. Shylock's two albums are both really good but especially I enjoy this first one called Gialorgues. The instrumental work is just superb and I really dig their sound. The tracks are very complex and it's easy to hear the skills of these musicians. Especially the two long tracks are fantastic but that short A-side closer "Le sixième" does it's job really well too.Gialorgues is a brilliant record. If instrumental prog with lots of strong keyboards is your thing then both of Shylock's albums are must-listens. Definitely worth giving a try for the genre fans.
