This is the VERIFIED extremely rare mono first pressing of Aretha's first Atlantic album--and in my opinion her best album.  To verify it for yourself, go to discogs.com and put in the run-out numbers that are on Side 1: A-12521-A AT W.  It was the first of 71 versions of this very popular LP. It was pressed at the Presswell plant in March, 1967--a mark of quality in LPs of that era.
So many great hits like these (see all of the titles in the photos):
Respect I Never Loved a Man  Soul Serenade Don't Let Me Lose This Dream Dr. Feelgood Do Right Woman/Do Right Man A Change is Gonna Come
Do you remember the lyrics of that last one, by Sam Cooke? Aretha does such a heartfelt delivery of that song.
I was born by the river in a little tent
Oh, and just like the river I've been running ever since It's been a long, a long time coming
But I know a change gon' come, oh yes it will One more factoid about LPs of this era. The mono records stayed clean of noisy scratches a lot longer, which is why I bought the mono version instead of the stereo version. The reason?  With mono records, the needle tracks the bottom of the groove; with stereo records, also the sides.
