The Band, First Pressing of The Last Waltz  (3) LP 12"Vinyl Set w/Booklet   3WS 3146     1978

Album Rating: VG and VG+ First two look great (VG+), the third album (VG) has a 'chunk' on it. I have not listened to every album but I did listen to this part to see what the deal was and it plays through with a little 'skitch' when it hits the 'chunk'. It doesn't cause a skip and it looks like the right record cleaner could get it off. I didn't want to mess with it as it did play through. I'll leave that up to the new owner.
Outer Jacket Rating: VG The spine has seen better days, it's there but the outer layer with the wording has worn off about 97%
Inner Sleeves: VG for all three - pretty basic sleeves, nothing to write home about. Some seam splits
Included Booklet: NM The booklet is in beautiful condition. Every page looks fantastic, the color is still sharp, preserved well in the jacket for all those years. You have a little yellowing due to age, being printed on ivory paper to begin with helps minimize it.

Ratings are based on a general rating system I found on-line. I am not a professional dealer or collector, ratings are done to the best of my ability and a conservative estimate, I don't want to rip anyone off, I just want you to enjoy the music. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have questions or would like more photos of the album(s).

The Rating System I use:

Near Mint (NM): Nearly perfect. More than likely never been played, no imperfections during playback if it has. No obvious signs of wear.

Very Good Plus (VG+): Shows signs of being played and handled but otherwise taken care of. Slight warps that don’t affect sound are okay. Label may have some ring wear or discoloration but it will be barely noticeable. Spindle marks may be present. Picture or inner sleeve will have some slight wear (slightly turned up corners or slight seam split) Cover might have signs of wear, marred by cut-out hole, indentation or cut corner. Basically a few minor things are wrong.

Very Good (VG): More pronounced defects than a VG+, surface nice will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song’s into and fade but will not overpower the music in general. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing or have tape or stickers (or residue) attached. Same will be true for picture sleeves and covers - however, it will not be all of these problems at the same time.

Good & Good Plus (G, G+): May be played through without skipping but will have significant surface noise, scratches, visible groove wear. Cover sleeve and/or cover have signs of damage, wear and fading. Scratches, tears are present.

Please contact me before bidding if you would like more details or photos. I am more than happy to work with anyone on whatever they need to feel confident placing a bid and I will get back to you in a timely manner with the additional information.

I am not a professional vinyl dealer or even a collector. I am simply getting rid of records from a collection we acquired but do not want/need.

I do not clean the records with a fancy cleaning device as I am not equipped to do so. I do, however, give them a once-over with your standard record player cleaning kit. (nylon brush, cleaning spray for vinyl and a velvet brush) Please also be aware that I do not listen to every song on every album. I do check them for scratches and dings and will listen through that song if I find something to make sure it is playable without skipping or major distortions.

I handle all vinyl with lint-free, acid-free archival gloves to ensure I don’t get fingerprints on them, less the ones that my be present from the previous owner(s).

12” Vinyl will be shipped USPS Media Mail unless otherwise specified in the listing. I ship all records in proper packaging to ensure safe arrival including the use of cardboard stiffeners. The LP will also be placed outside the jacket.

Combining Orders: I will be more than happy to combine orders to save you shipping. I can safely fit three single LP’s into one box.

Thanks for checking out my listing!
