PLEASE NOTE: I WILL
ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER
BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS
(NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
OFF-THE-CHARTS RARE ORIGINAL 1ST MERCURY/MOON RED LABEL CANADIAN PRESSING FROM 1974 WITH NM-100-A / NM-100-B DEAD WAX ETCHINGS AND RED (NOT pink) RUSH LOGO ON THE FRONT COVER!!! For RUSH collectors, this LP is one of two holy grails. Aside from the Moon label first run, this is the ONLY other pressing that used the original Moon metal stampers before Mercury started printing the LP en masse. This is also the only pressing to feature the Moon, SRO and Mercury logos on the rear cover at the bottom. The Moon logo would be gone by the second pressing and the SRO logo was gone by the third. This first red label Canadian pressing was VERY small and acted as a sort of test run to determine how the album would sell in other markets outside of Cleveland. 2nd and 3rd red label Canadian pressings can also be identified by a completely different Mercury matrix number in the dead wax and are incredibly rare and massively sought after but this first red label Mercury pressing with Moon matrices and rear cover logo is by FAR the rarest and most seldom seen. The LP is in VG condition with some very light surface scuffs. Cover is still in the original shrink wrap and gorgeous. This LP is incredibly hard to find and is nearly as rare as the Moon pressing. These rarely come up for auction, particularly in the original shrink wrap so don't sleep. It will be a long time before another surfaces. Due to the rarity of this item I will be sending it with additional insurance so please wait for an invoice.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING:
