Up for sale is a great copy of Permanent Waves by Rush. Mobile Fidelity really hit it out of the park with this pressing.
This particular copy sounds nearly-perfect. The surface noise is essentially non-existent, even during the quietest passages. Geddy Lee's deft bass runs sound so much better and "real" compared to any other recording I've ever heard... the ripping bass- and insane guitar-work during the interlude of Freewill never sounded so fantastic. This pressing has an overall fullness and warmth not found on my Mercury/Phonogram vinyl recording.
I'm conservatively rating the vinyl as "excellent" even though, to my ears, it sounds near-mint.
