Here is a nice example of a Rare and Popular Edison Diamond Disc Record # 51542, Titled: "CHARLESTON" - It has an Excellent Arrangement of this Popular Song and is played by: The Golden Gate Orchestra (Fox Trot). The reverse side it titled: "MAMIE". Also a Fox Trot song by Frank Silver's Dance Orchestra. Both sides of this record look like they were played very little. There is almost no wear other than some very light surface scratches that don't effect the playing at all. It play through fine with no problems. Please be aware that this record is designed to only be played on an Edison Diamond Disc Phonograph or there are some other major brand machines that have an adapter that would allow you to play one of these Vertical Cut 80 RPM Records on their machine if you rotate the playing head 90 degrees and install a special diamond or sapphire jewel stylus made for that purpose. This record would get damaged if you attempted to play it on a regular wind up 78 RPM record player that uses the steel needles, so please don't buy it it you don't have the right machine to play it, since I offer no refunds. I paid a lot for this record since they are hard to find. Hopefully the right collector will come along that appreciates it as much as I do! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about whether or not your machine will play it without damaging it. Even if you have an Edison Diamond Disc Phonograph with the factory diamond reproducer, make sure that the lower reproducer weight that has the stylus mounted to it, has a good diamond and will freely move left and right to follow the grooves of the record, otherwise that would also damage any records like this one.
