The Dead's 1972 US tour is noted as one of the best in the band's long career. 11/18/72 Hofheinz Pavilion, Houston, TX captures the band in the midst of this tour and features the second set of this date. This recording is especially notorious for the acclaimed 25 minute version of "Playing In The Band." Rhino has done their due diligence in releasing this famed recording. It's been mastered from the original 2 track tapes and includes original art work from concert poster and album artist Gary Houston.
