Here it is. The last official album by 'The Only Band That Matters'. By this time the band was dissolving. Mick was growing tired of his role and wanted a bigger stage while Topper was getting into some serious skag. However, they somehow managed to pull together this one last time to put together an album that was unfortunately overlooked by way too many, even if it was their best selling album by a huge margin - fueled by the radio-friendly songs "Should I Stay Or Should I Go" and "Rock The Casbah".
Anyway, here it is. Not as iconic or influential or important as their previous four albums, but a very nice way to wrap up the band's legacy.
This is a 1982 US First Pressing (runout: al-37689-2a masterdisk hw)
Condition
Vinyl (visual grade): VG+ (7/10). There's a loss of shine, some surface scuffing, maybe one or two very small superficial scratches. It looks as if it were listened to regularly, and it has been. But overall it's actually extremely clean, as all of the above is really just cosmetic.
Jacket: VG+ (7/10): Same as the vinyl, the jacket shows proof of being taken off and put back on the shelf. There is some surface scuffing and ringwear, the corners are kind of bumped and all that, but the spine is very clean (one can read it easily), and there are no tears, damage, stains, bends, folds, or seam splitting at all.
Play Grade: EX (8/10). If you want to know the truth, I am ready to call this NM because I just played it and ... it is amazing. Absolutely no skipping, popping, hissing, sibilance, or other icky ambient noise, even during the rare quiet parts or between songs. I mean this plays with the purity of a CD pressing. Truly blissful. Play grading albums like this is a real treat for me. For reference, this was played on a Pioneer PL-518 w/Ortofon 2M Blue cart, Marantz 2220 receiver, and RSL CG-6 speakers. Note: I know
what it's like to get scammed by sketchy ebay sellers, so I do my
absolute best to ensure that this item is described honestly. I'm proud
of the fact I have perfect feedback as a seller, which means you can bid
with confidence. If you would like any additional information, don't
hesitate to ask.
