Muddy Waters was an American blues singer and songwriter, who was integral the movement of post-war blues music. He has been named as the "father of modern Chicago blues".

As well as being such a legendary figure in the scene of blues, this album featured the song that would see him enter the ranks with rock 'n' roll too, "Mannish Boy". Rocking aside, the album predominantly featured the iconic sound of Waters' rugged blues.
