The career spanning compilation from Lush comprises most of the band's singles as well as choice album cuts and b-sides. Originally released back in 2001, it's only now getting the vinyl pressing it deserves. Lush was formed in London in 1988 from a friendship begun at age fourteen by Miki Berenyi (vocals/guitars) and Emma Anderson (guitars/vocals) along with Chris Acland (drums), and Steve Rippon (bass). They are known as one of the most prominent shoegazing bands of their era. As well as being accidental icons (the best kind), Lush also made exceptional music: classic pop, fiery punk, soaring ambient and a modern, lilting folk. It can be harrowing - fun or fraught, these are recognizably real life experiences.
