The experience, alongside reading Beckett's Waiting for Godot and Kafka's Metamorphosis, found Owusu questioning life and finding beauty in the struggle. There are several key collaborators on the record including Jason Evigan (Rufus Du Sol, SZA), Mikey Freedom Hart (product of Jon Batiste’s 2021 Grammy of the Year Album), and Sol Was (Beyonce’s Renaissance).
