First 1973 pressing of debut KISS album with no "Kissin Time" on record or jacket. The record has a lot of surface but very playable. Vinyl is covered in scuffs and light scratches but could only find one that was feelable and I could not hear a repeating tick on that area. Overall it is graded at G+. The album generally plays with consistent light static and some crackle but there are no repeating ticks and only a few pops. There is one small jump that misses less than a second of music on Strutter. The music comes through strongly. Here is a breakdown of playback:
Side 1
T1- prominent crackle in run in groove until it sets into fine groove (before music) then VG+. Some light pops behind music.
T2- background static and crackle. Some bump sounds. All are non distracting from music. VG
T3- there is a quick jump that moves stylus ahead less than a second on this track. The rest of playback is VG.
T4- VG playback. No loud pops or repeating ticks.
T5- background static is more prominent on this track and some inner groove distortion is noted. VG-
Side 2
T1- crackle on intro grooves. Rest is VG to VG+.
T2- mostly VG. One pop and some light clicks buried in music. Nothing annoying. VG to VG+.
T3- VG on quiet intro. Light static and crackle buried in music. No loud pops or clicks. VG to VG+
T4- Quiet intro is VG- with light crackle and a few pops. No repeating ticks. Inner groove distortion towards end.
Jacket is also G+ and has tape on spine and upper seam. Piece of tape also on right side. Text is worn off on spine. Some damage on rear panel as shown.
