The latest remastered edition of Pink Floyd's "Madness," an immortal masterpiece released in 1973 and called one of the most iconic and influential albums of all time, will be released on CD and LP to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Madness" was released in March 1973. This huge concept album about the tensions and repression of modern society and the madness that lurks in the human mind became the band's first album to reach No. 1 on the U.S. charts. It remained on the charts for 741 weeks and sold over 50 million copies worldwide, making it one of the greatest albums in rock history. It also reached No. 2 on the U.K. charts. The single cut "Money" was also a hit, reaching No. 13 in the United States. The ultimate sound world created by the band and engineer Alan Parsons is breathtaking. The artwork for the cover, which is so iconic that it was designed with a prism of light motif, was designed by Storm Torgerson of Hypnosis and drawn by graphic designer George Hardy. Originally included in the "Madness" 50th anniversary box set, this is the first time the album has been released independently on CD and LP.
