Limited Japanese edition of Kenny Dorham's masterpiece Round About Midnight At The Cafe Bohemia.
Pressed by EMI Music Japan Inc. c.n. Blue Note DBLP001 From The Original Master Tapes of the BLP 1524 Mono release.
Vinyl at the beginning of the first track has a short scratch, here you can hear some low noises VG-,after it and the other side is NM,cover is NM with edge wear in one place, the Obi is glued to the inner, insert with Japanese translation of original liner notes ,vinyl in rice paper sleeve within its own white die-cut card jacket.
These records were made as special limited edition in USA using original Blue Note equipment and master tapes and sold ONLY in Japan. The purpose of this edition was to carefully replicate the feeling of original Blue Note pressings from 50’s and 60’s.
This record has original boxed cover made 1:1 to the original, including address at the back, original deep groove label with 161 Lexington address.
This is hands down the best Blue Note replica ever made and possibly will be made. Amazing signature Blue Note mono sound definitely great adder to any serious jazz record collection.
