This is from the rare and OOP "Louder, Faster, Heavier' series released in 2008.

'Louder' because the album is spaced out over 2 vinyl LPs which allows the grooves your stylus tracks to have more space for higher amplitude signals,  ie it sounds louder compared to the single LP versions, while maintaining the vinyl sound (in no way related to highly compressed 'loudness wars cds)

'Faster' because it plays at a higher speed of 45rpm compared to the normal 33rpm of a usual vinyl, this gives sonic benefits. Think of how the 1st track on an LP usually sounds better than the last track on the same side because the 1st track covers more vinyl inches per rotation than the inner one, and hence can retrieve more detail.

'Heavier' because it's on heavyweight vinyl, which is audiophiles grade vinyl.

Bought this new around 2012 and only played a handful of times because I have a project turn table with the round belts and I only have the use of one hand so it was a pain to have to manually change the motor speed setting and accidentally have the entire belt come off then have to get someone to put the belt back on for me cause I can't do it myself.

Played it before posting and it sounds great. Vinyl in great condition.

Disc 1 side a has hardly noticeable 'finger print' type marks that don't look link finger prints, but was probably before I learned to use a micro fibre cloth to take records out their sleeves since I only have the use of 1 hand. It is on about the 10 o'clock position I've tried to show it in pics.

Disc 1 side 2 has a very light scratch  that doesn't affect playback   in fact I only noticed it when taking photos and I shined a torch on it to tale a pic,  it looks worse under torch light than real life where you prolly won't even notice it if I didn't tell you. It's about the 6/7 o'clock position.

Disc 2 has a mark on side 3 about 6 o'clock position. And some lighter finger print type marks about the 10/11 o'clock position.

I'm  basically trying to be as honest as I can cause I dont  want some ocd guy buying then returning it cause some hadly noticeable marks that don't affect playback.

If you are just a normal guy wanting to hear these records in basically pristine sound condition, a guy like myself, then you won't be disappointed. I Dont sell rubbish any time I do sell stuff and I'm only selling cause I bought single Disc vinyl versions cause they are easier for me to handle.

Check my description of the other metallica louder faster heavier ride the Lightning, which was bought at same and prolly played one or 2 tlmre  more timis more than  the handful this was played, because I prefer that albumn (I'm not a massive metallica fan, I like.their early work ok)

Both discs have a slight warp which was common when I was buying new vinyl. Still is to this day i hear.

It doesn't affect playback.

I basically got sick of sending records back for replacements because I wanted perfectly flat record discs, then usually the replacement would be the same or worse. So I just kept it if it wasn't to bad and didn't affect playback. If you buy new vinyl, especially heavyweight vinyl, you will probably know what I mean.

If you are concerned about this message me before bidding and I will send a video of it playing on my rega deck (project not in use at the moment) and you can judge for yourself.

Honestly it doesn't affect the sound of playback so I kept it cause I learned to live with new vinyl nowadays very rarely being perfectly flat.

Any wee 'white' bits in any pics of the vinyl are just light reflections, they are not there in real life. I had to take loads of photos and did the best I could.

Comes in anti-static sleeves.

Cover mite have a few marks on it but is in really good condition considering hardly been handled once I got it.

Will post next day delivery within a couple days of payment
