Pink Floyd
Dark Side of the Moon
EMI/Harvest 1973
Lovely copy of the iconic first UK pressing with A2 B2 matrix codes and early mother stampers GMD / GRH
Comes in midnight blue sleeve and original black inner sleeve with inner bag, ‘Made in Great Britain’ and 2 patent numbers.
VINYL:
Very Good++ to Excellent audio with just a hint of background crackle only audible on very quiet passages here and there. No skip on ‘Money’ and with clean, bright first issue labels with solid blue triangle and showing only a small to moderate amount of light spindle marks. A slight warp is visible when spinning on the turntable. The matrix codes on this copy are the earliest A2 B2 and the mother stampers both start with G so one of the first pressings of this iconic album, now over 50 years old.
SLEEVE:
Very Good+. First issue ‘midnight blue’ sleeve with just mild evidence of handling / storage.
INNER/INSERTS:
Original black inner sleeve with inner bag Very Good+ 2 x posters are included. Interestingly they are from the US pressing as they have the US catalogue number printed in the corner and are slightly different from the UK versions. The stickers also appear slightly different from usual and I would imagine that they too are the US issue. These were present when I acquired this album so I have no idea how they came together!
Overall a lovely copy of a rare and increasingly sought after record.
