PETE MILLER 'Summerland' LP (UK, Tenth Planet, Catalogue #TP030) Brand new/unplayed copy of limited Tenth Planet label LP edition (edition of 1000 copies only) of previously unreleased recordings, circa 1966-1968, by famed UK psych avatar Pete Miller (aka Big Boy Pete).

'Whilst not masquerading as blissed-out psychodaisy Big Boy Pete, Norwich-based composer, musician and singer Pete Miller also wrote and recorded a number of more conventional pop songs. Some of these were covered by relatively successful acts including Freddie & The Dreamers and Sounds Orchestral, but Pete's only recording in this vein that actually reached the shops was the wired garage pop of 'Baby I Got News For You', an October 1965 single that was actually credited to Miller. However, many more tracks were recorded at his home studio during the mid-1960s. Summerland compiles fourteen of Pete's finest recordings in the mainstream pop idiom, all previously unreleased and taken from the original mastertapes, to provide further evidence that this idiosyncratic, iconoclastic writer and performer was one of the era's most criminally neglected talents.'
