This is the original deep-groove RVG-stamped pressing of Johnny “Hammond” Smith “Gettin’ The Message” on the yellow and black New Jersey labels of Prestige PRLP 7217. The playing surface is immaculate, with a high luster; perhaps played once. Similarly, the laminated cover is in virtually new condition – bright and clean throughout – with sharp corners and perfect seams.
Personnel include Lem Winchester, Eddie McFadden, Wendell Marshall, and Bill Erskine.
