Record grading is as follows:

SS - Still Sealed - Factory sealed
M - Mint - flawless and like new in appearance and play. Only 32 M graded lp's in 15 years out of about 14,000 and 4 of them were sealed lp's that I opened to verify pressing.
NM - Near Mint - Like new in appearance and play. May have a light sleeve scuff. No audible marks. Pretty much like a factory fresh pressing.
E+ - Excellent Plus - Almost near mint but with some VERY SLIGHT audible defect. A random non-repeating click or pop, a small audible flaw that does not repeat more than 2 or 3 times, some noticable surface noise at the start of a side.
E - Excellent - A little worse than E+. Could be an audible defect that repeats 4 or 5 times. Some light surface noise in quiet passages. Most of my own lp's bought new and played seldom would likely get this grade.
VG+ - Very Good Plus - Again a little worse than E. More than one audible defect that each repeat more than 1 or 2 times. A little more occaisional surface noise during quiet passages and between tracks.
VG - Very Good - Noticeable and more frequent noise and defects periodically through most of the recording, or one significant flaw like an audible scratch across one or 2 tracks on an otherwise better graded lp.
VG- Very Good minus - Even more noticeable noise and defects.
G - Good - Still plays but flaws are distracting. Still listenable and better than nothing.
F - Fair - Still played on the sections I sampled. Usually looks pretty gross. Probably only listed because of extreme rarity or because cover is clean.
P - Poor - May not play all the way through. again listed due to rarity or cover condition.

I play grade everything on a somewhat bright system that emphasizes surface noise. I sample the worst looking sections from one side - both sides if they look substantially different. Higher priced records are sampled more thoroughly. Visual inspection is made under 2 40 watt flourescent tubes about 3 feet above the work area. All records (except 10 inch LP's and 45's) are placed into brand new poly lined sleeves after grading.

Most orders are double boxed for shipping. This is not possible with orders over 10 to 12 records, but they are wrapped in plastic and packed very well.I can combine items to reduce shipping so check out my other items.
