Monster rare original first pressing of this psych prog classic. The very earliest issue of Jethro Tull’s ground breaking debut. A real classic LP.
This is the ultra rare first stereo pressing on Island records with the wide white spine and the so hard to find pink Island record label with the red and black eye logo. This is the very first issue without ‘Made in England’ on the label. Catalogue number ILPS 9085. The Matrix /Runout on Side A is ILPS+9085+A and on Side B is ILPS+9085+B.
It is with great regret that I choose to part with this, but sadly I need the money more. Hope it goes to a good home.
CONDITION:
COVER – VERY GOOD - The gatefold sleeve is in nice condition, apart from being a little tatty around the spine and side edge. The outer glossy sleeve retains its gleam nicely. There are no splits and the spine is intact, but it is a little worn. There is NO writing or tears.
RECORD - EXCELLENT - The vinyl looks to be in great conditon. The labels are clean and vibrant and the black vinyl has a glossy shine to it. There are a few hairline scratches on both sides that you would expect to find on a record of this age, but this does not affect play and probably just caused by removal from the inner sleeve. There are some light spindle marks and sticker residue on the label of side A (see photo), but otherwise, this is a perfect copy. You will be hard pushed to find another in such great condition. Any marks seen in the photos are not on the vinyl, but reflections or smudges on my camera lens.
The record shall be sent to the lucky winner very well packaged and in a protective sleeve. Due to the rarity of the record, I'm afraid I will only send by registered post. Collection welcomed. Any questions please ask.
Many thanks for looking.
Please see my 100% positive feedback. In over 10 years, I have never received negative. Bid with confidence.
