VINYL GRADING

Mint: Usually a sealed record. On rare occasion I may rate an opened record mint, but only if I strongly feel it has not been played and/or looks absolutely flawless.

NM (Near Mint): A nearly flawless copy. Looks great and may have been played a handful of times. Could possibly have a tiny blemish, but nothing that would affect playback. Cover has been opened, but will look like new.

VG+: Visually may have light marks but will play with minimal noise. Cover may have minor wear.

VG: Record will have marks and paper scuffs and some light surface noise in spots due to age and good amount of usage. While subjective, the noise is deemed low enough to not hinder enjoyment of the music. Cover will have some noticeable shelf wear and/or ring wear, but not dramatic. Minor splitting could fall in this category, but will be clearly stated in the description if so.

VG-: Vinyl will have considerable surface noise from marks, scratches, and general wear on both sides of the record. This is where the level of listening enjoyment becomes more difficult. Cover will have heavy shelf and/or ring wear, or major seam splitting (beyond an inch or so).

G: I will rarely sell vinyl with this grade level unless it's either very collectible or the vinyl or cover are in good enough shape to be good candidates to replace your existing worse-condition copy. Vinyl would be barely playable with numerous scratches, the cover would have major damage such as big tears or extensive water damage.
