Bang Death Of A Country ( Limited Edition 180g Black Vinyl) New & Sealed
Regarded by many as being America's answer to early Black Sabbath, Death of a Country, displays a darker psychedelic mood than the more straightforward proto-metal / hard rock that was to follow. Dark, trippy lyrics and studio effects owe more to early Pink Floyd than Black Sabbath on this particular release.
This album was recorded in 1971 and was intended to be released as the band's first record, but was shelved by Capitol Records because they did not feel that putting out a "heavy concept album" as the band's debut would be commercially viable. Later that year, their self-titled sophomore record was released and became their official debut instead.
Pressed on heavyweight 180g black vinyl and housed in a superb gatefold sleeve with a lyric insert.

ALL THE ALBUMS I SELL ARE VERY SECURELY PACKAGED WITH AT LEAST TWO STIFFENERS AND NEW PLASTIC SLEEVES. I ONLY USE THE HIGHEST GRADE PROFESSIONAL PACKAGING TO ENSURE THE RECORDS ARRIVE IN THE CONDITION I STATE IN MY LISTINGS.
I COMBINE POSTAGE AND PACKING COSTS FOR MUTIPLE SALES TO A MAXIMUM OF 5 SINGLE LPs (DOUBLES COUNT AS 2 LPs). THIS IS DUE TO THE SHARP INCREASE IN COSTS ONCE A PACKAGE GOES OVER 2KG IN WEIGHT.
Grading
I grade all my records using the Record Collector's Grading System which is as follows:
Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent - The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion ans mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits discoloration etc.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/ or defaced.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
