  SO HERE IS THE BIG QUESTION:  WHAT IS A RADIO SHOW?  WHY COLLECT THEM?  WHERE DO THEY COME FROM?  Well, those are good questions, especially if you have never known of them.  Radio Shows are syndicated productions by one of several large and small distributors who supply broadcast product to radio stations normally during weekends when the usual air personalities have a break.  Many air on Saturday or Sunday evenings or during overnight segments.  They often feature some of the best known voices for their genre from across the country thus the Dick Clark's and Casey Kasem's and Rick Dees and Dick Bartley and so many others.  People collect them for various reasons.  Some just collect the series because they like it and want them all.  Some collect their favorite artists or genre of music.  Rather than an album by the artist or a compilation bought at Wal Mart or downloaded through iTunes or wherever, they have a unique presentation of their favorite artist or music not available anywhere else and always with dj presentations which were very entertaining.  Some collect interviews with their favorite artists as most shows had interview segments.  Believe it or not, some collect commercials especially old car commercials but certainly not limited to only those.  AND, these shows are in limited quantity.  They were printed just for syndicated stations in the United States  and were to be destroyed after broadcast and not sold.  Many have just a few still in circulation.  Some of the more popular shows may have as many as a few hundred of each week's show that survived but think about it.  A few hundred for some 200 million Americans and millions of overseas collectors who look for unique presentations of their favorite artists or form of music is about as rare as rare can be.  AND they are increasingly hard to find.  They were first distributed on reel to reel tape if the show goes back that far into the 60's, then later on lp, later on CD and even later (after 2000 for most shows) on CDR.  Now they are not available at all to collectors since they are distributed by digital download much like you get your music from iTunes.  These shows become rarer and rarer every day because the people who buy them hold on to them and the people who sell them, like me, are running out of them.   My best contact for these shows is running very low and when he is gone I will be at the mercy of finding a good deal here and there but never from a regular source.  The shows that you get now and hold on to will never decrease in value and only increase.  Even during the recession which is hopefully ending, the value of shows did not diminish much.  The number bought diminished because people were afraid to spend their money and who blames them.  But the prices did not decrease much and again are on the increase.  I have prided myself since the start to provide the best and fairest cost with a no holds barred guarantee that you will be happy or I refund your money.  I sell them for near what I bought them for.  I give volume discounts and discount postage always.  As the postal service increases their rates, my shipping rates over the years has decreased.  And, I have one of the biggest radio show libraries in the world consisting of many thousands of shows, so many that I don't even know all that I have and am sometimes amazed when I go to look for one show and find another that I did not realize I had.  Finally, it is Americana at its best.  Whether the show be from the 60's or 2000's, rock, countdown, oldies, country, classical, religious, jazz or big band, it is unique and home grown.  And you just can't find them anywhere.  Even record stores that still exist will rarely have any.   Radio shows are wonderful representations of the real golden age of radio at least music wise.  And every  one you buy is  an original, not a copy, not a remake - Besides the two music rooms in my house, I also have a 10 x 20 air conditioned storage shed filled to the brim with great shows.  I have one of the biggest collections in the world.  They are all available to you for the asking.  I only have time to list a fraction of my shows because I work full time and this is my hobby, but just know they are there!  I give special discounts for bulk purchases of any show.  You tell me what you want, I put up a Buy It Now Auction for you, and they quickly head your way!!!  OK guys and gals, in this outing,  A RARE TREAT!!!!  from my friend Mark, I now have several years of a great Christian Rock series called POWERLINE!    Of all the Christian Rock series, this was one of the most popular and sadly is long out of production although last year I heard it has begun production again through Tom Kent Productions which is wonderful but sadly will never be available to us collectors since shows are no longer syndicated through CD's.    It was hosted by well known dj  "Brother" Jon Rivers  who after this show stopped started the 20 Countdown show which is also great!     Powerline  is different from other Christian oriented shows in that it contained contemporary music , not Christian music although some is included in some shows.   The  hits are matched with themed inspirational messages instead of commercials - there are none in the show - and are extremely motivational.  You will love the mix.  And Brother Jon has not only the voice but the feeling behind the voice to make the half hour totally entertaining and inspirational.  It is contemporary Christian without being heavy handed and with the current hits that we all love.      You will thoroughly enjoy this great series and will want many for your collection.  Sadly, I have a handful but that's all.   They are extremely rare.    The show comes on  one LP,  one hour.  The LP's are in new mint, new condition  probably played only on their day of network broadcast,  and come with their cue sheets.  There are two  full half hour shows on each LP along with  public service inspirational messages and promos for each of the two shows.     The LP's as you see in the listing picture are quite attractive.     PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PICTURE IS A GENERIC PICTURE AND PROBABLY NOT THE ACTUAL SHOW YOU ARE BUYING.  SINCE EVERY SHOW LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME IT SAVES ME A LOT OF TIME USING A GENERIC PICTURE.   I am proud to offer you an opportunity to have some of these rare shows for your own collection.  You will especially love them if you are a fan of great CONTEMPORARY Music  and instead of the annoying commercials hear brief inspirational messages instead that meld with the music that you hear.    If you are a fan of the show or of the genre or the wonderful Jon Rivers, you will love this show.    Each half hour show had about 9 songs with two inspirational messages so you have upwards of 18 songs on each LP, more than on the usual radio show which averages about 15 because of the commercials.     The two shows on this LP aired the week of DECEMBER 17  AND DECEMBER 24, 1989.      HERE IS ALL THAT IS IN THESE GREAT SHOWS INCLUDING THE ANNUAL CHRISTMAS SPECIAL WHICH IS VERY RARE AND HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER:          Last Night I Saw Santa Claus - New kids On The Block            It's Christmas Time - Chris Christian              Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - Tom Scott              Do YOu Hear What I Hear - Deniece Williams          White Christmas -Lee Ritenour            Away In a Manger - Steve Chapman          Little Drummer Boy - Daryl Stuermer             and          It Won't Be Christmas - David Martin              THEN FROM THE COMPANION SHOW:         With Every Beat Of My Heart - Taylor Dayne              Holding On - Steve Winwood          Reflections - Dan Siegel         Come On Home -0 Generation Band           Blame It On The Rain - Milli Vanilli        Angelia - Richard Marx            A Love Lost - Dan Siegel           Locomotive - Generation Band         Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley                  WOW!!!!!  Remember, there are no commercials, only two inspirational messages where commercials might have been.    Please remember, this is the genuine original show that was sent to the radio station for airing.  It is NOT an unauthorized copy but the Real McCoy!!!  I personally guarantee that every radio show that I sell is the original show sent to stations.  Each show comes from my personal collection of thousands of radio shows of every genre.   Stations could use the show anytime during the weekend date printed on the show and then the few shows total end up available to us all to enjoy. THERE IS NO WAY TO TELL HOW MANY OF EACH SHOW REMAIN SURVIVED BECAUSE SYNDICATORS WILL NEVER RELEASE HOW MANY WERE ORIGINALLY PRESSED      HOWEVER, THERE WERE PROBABLY FEWER THAN 100 EVER AND THE ONES THAT SURVIVED WOULD BE MUCH MUCH LESS.    On the financial side, you are truly buying a  show that will only increase in value and I am selling them at a price very close to what I paid for it.  It just doesn't get much better than that, music fans!!!!    Remember that this and all the radio music shows that you see on eBay  are not just about the music - the music can be found anywhere.  It is the mixture of great music and great announcing that makes it so entertaining.  As well, it is a piece of radio and music  history.  You just aren't going to find these shows around very much longer as everything becomes digitized and downloaded for play and shows are no longer sent out on CD's. (This has already occurred with most radio show series.)
