Vinyl Grading System
Mint: A perfect record. This record looks like it has just left the manufacturer. No scuffs or scratches or marks of any kind on the vinyl.
Sleeve: No creases, splits, writing or stickers. Again, looks like it has just left the manufacturer.
Near Mint: This record appears virtually flawless. There may be a very minor scuff, which is very hard to see, but little else will appear on the vinyl. It should play without any noise over the flaw.
Sleeve: Looks close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and/or age. Minor impressions to the cover, due to the edge of the vinyl pressing against it, may be present.
Excellent: The Vinyl may have minor scuffs or light marks, which are only slightly visible. It should play without any noise over the flaw.
Sleeve: There may be impressions to the cover from the edge of the record pressing against it. There may be slight creases and some wear to corners but no splits, writing or repairs
Very Good +: The record shows wear and there may be some surface scuffs and/or light scratches. These may be more visible but the record should play without noise over the flaws.
Sleeve: There will be more wear/ aging visible on this cover. There may be some creasing and wear to the corners. Some minor wear to the seams or spine but no tears or holes popping through.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and or light scratches.
Sleeve: worn/used. Maybe with seam splitting and ring wear. It may have a snowy effect in parts and there may be writing on it. It will look aged and yellowish but it should still be decent.
