We believe this record was never played: we can not find any signs of use in the record itself. The sleeve is also in very good condition, but it has been handling over the years and it is not pristine, but very good, as you'll see in the photos below.
The main song is "Country Music is Here to Stay". In spite of the name, we understand the song qualifies as psychedelic rock, as this was what Lavender Hill Express did. The other song is "Watch Out!".
Lavender Hill Express was a 1960's rock band that played in Austin and other cities in Texas. They were the typical "garage rock" band of the era. The band formed when two of the hottest psych rock bands of Austin at the time broke up, The Wigs and The Babycakes. The name comes from an old gangster movie: Lavender Hill Mob.
