Steve’s Vintage Records

Up for sale is a very nice copy of the classic album from Michael Jackson – “Thriller”. This album does open up (gatefold) but has never been opened.

Catalogue # QE 38112

Grading is as follows:

Record is play graded EX.

Album jacket is graded NM as it still has original shrink wrap, has promo sticker, and there is no ring wear, edge or corner wear. Very rare condition of this jacket.

Please check the pictures and feel free to email me with any questions.

Please note:  I now clean my LP's on a VPI machine and grade records under a light or play grade them. Please reference the list below to determine if you want to bid. I try to grade conservatively and aim for customer satisfaction.

Also, record(s) are shipped outside of the album jacket in a new sturdy LP mailer.

GRADING FOR RECORDS & ALBUM COVERS

MINT (M) - Reserved for STILL SEALED records and album jackets that have no worn corners.

NEAR MINT (NM) - Vinyl has beautiful shine with no scratches or marks. Will have very little or no background noise. The album jacket is open but is flawless. Records over 30 years old in this condition are considered collectibles.

EXCELLENT (EX)-Almost like new, maybe a mark or two on the record. May have some minor background noise in between songs, but does not affect the music at all. Vinyl will look shiny with minor or no scuffs. The album jacket may have some corner wear, but certainly no major ring wear or damage. Still considered a nice collectible.

VERY GOOD ++ (VG++)- Some groove wear can be seen under a light, but vinyl still has some shine. Record will have some marks, scuffs or a scratch or two. Surface noise is there but doesn't overwhelm audio. The album jacket will have corner, edge, and light ring wear. A very nice starter collectible and is still considered collectible if the album is no longer in print.

VERY GOOD + (VG+) - Record has wear and will also have a combination of marks, scuffs and light scratches. Record will have background noise and will overwhelm audio is spots. Album jacket will have ring wear, a seam split and bruised corners.

VERY GOOD (VG)- Well worn record, has scratches, ticks, pops and surface noise that could will affect audio on some songs. Maybe a skip or two, nothing major, but would not be a collector example. Vinyl will have deeper scratches and will hardly shine. Album jacket has severe ring, corner and edge wear. Gatefold albums will have seam splits.

GOOD (G)- Lots of wear to the record, lots of scratches, no shine to the record. I rarely sell records in this condition unless they are super rare and parts of this sale could help you complete a damaged copy you own now.
