Here is a RARE vintage MONO Beatles Lp album from my collection offered up for sale/auction: An original 1st press 1967 MONO album by THE BEATLES "Magical Mystery Tour", offering a different sound mix than the more common Stereo version!! This is an original first pressing from 1967 on Capitol records MAL-2835. This 1st pressing also contains the COLOR PHOTO CARTOON BOOKLET! The booklet contains all color photos and lyrics too! The record grades strong VG+, is clean and glossy, has some light marks, has been PLAY TESTED and plays great! Both sides play from start to finish with very good sound quality, overall minimal surface noise, has some light pops (song 2, unobtrusive), but no skips, no jumps! A very enjoyable listen, the unique sound mix comes through great! The hand-etched dead wax matrix reads: side one: MAL-1-2835-G10 and a stamped 2. Side two: MAL-2-2835-F7 and a stamped 2. The gatefold jacket rates strong VG+, color is bright, binder edge is readable, no tape, has light edges/corner wear but only split is at top opening (neatly glued, unnoticeable), has some small faint spot stains near edges on front (barely noticeable, see photos), has punch hole but cover has had minimal handling wear! The inside gatefold 24 page color booklet has only light wear, light age discoloration near edges, all pages are attached together and solid, the entire booklet has been replaced (glued, unnoticeable), no center split, lyric rear cover is still great shape!
