A BREAKDOWN OF THE ARTIST/S :-
Born 8 June 1940, Jersey City, New Jersey, USA. Determined not to rest on the laurels of famous father, Frank Sinatra, Nancy spent several years taking lessons in music, dance and drama. She made an impressive appearance on the Frank Sinatra/Elvis Presley television special (1959), and two years later made her recording debut with "Cuff Links And A Tie Clip". From 1960-65, she was married to pop singer Tommy Sands. Further releases were combined with a budding acting career until 1966 when, having teamed with producer/songwriter Lee Hazlewood, Nancy enjoyed an international smash with the sultry number 1 "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'". It's descending bass line on every verse made it one of the most recognisable hits of 1966. "How Does That Grab You, Darlin'", "Friday's Child", and "Sugar Town", all entered the US Top 40, before "Somethin' Stupid", a duet with her father, gave the singer a second UK and US chart topper. Her other mostly country-styled record hits during the 60s included "Love Eyes", "Jackson" and "Lightning's Girl" (both with Hazlewood), "Lady Bird", "Highway Song", and "Some Velvet Morning". In 1971, Sinatra joined Hazlewood again for the slightly risqu‚ "Did You Ever". She also made nightclub appearances, and starred in television specials and feature movies such as Get Yourself A College Girl, The Wild Angels and Elvis Presley's Speedway, and sang the theme song to the James Bond movie You Only Live Twice.
After spending some years away from the limelight, during which she concentrated on bringing up her two daughters by choreographer Hugh Lambert, in 1985 she published a biography entitled Frank Sinatra: My Father. A decade later she embarked on a major comeback, releasing her first solo album for more than 15 years, and posing au naturel for a six-page pictorial in Playboy magazine. An array of younger artists provided the material for 2004's self-titled collection, including Morrissey, Calexico, Bono and Jarvis Cocker.

THE COVER :- Single laminated sleeve
THE LABEL :- Reprise labels
THE VINYL VISUALLY :- On initial inspection of this piece of vinyl I cannot see any areas of immediate concern. The vinyl sits perfectly flat on the turntable so there are no nasty warps to worry about. The vinyl still retains its just pressed quality, full of deep shine and lustre. I have noted one or two light marks and very fine scratches from sleeve removal, nothing feelable or in any way deep. A decent piece of vinyl. Excellent condition visually.
THE VINYL PLAY GRADED :- The playgrading of the vinyl reveals some but little lessening in the sound quality. It lives up to its visual grading. There is some light surface noise. Just a little background crackle in spots and between tracks. I would grade the audio playback as somewhere between Very Good and Excellent condition. Not a bad copy but not a minter either.
THE SLEEVE FRONT CONDITION :- This is the very earliest 1st press laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve. The front of the sleeve is free from writing, free from stickers or evidence of previously removed stickers. There is a partial sticker showing in the photos but i have since removed it without trace. The sleeve reveals some moderate ringwear and a few creases in the laminate. The colours are bright and crisp. I would grade the front of the cover as Near Excellent condition.
THE SLEEVE REAR CONDITION :- The rear of the sleeve is free from writing, free from stickers or evidence of previously removed stickers. There are no creases on the rear of the sleeve and no real ringwear. There is a stain on the opening edge half way down which doesn't show on the photo and the photo makes the white brighter than it actually is. I would grade the rear as Near Excellent condition.
THE LABEL SIDE ONE CONDITION :- Original Reprise label in excellent order free from stickers or writing and no damage at all, light signs of play around the spindle hole. Excellent condition.
THE LABEL SIDE TWO CONDITION :- Original Reprise label in excellent order free from stickers or writing and no damage at all, light signs of play around the spindle hole. Excellent condition.
THE SPINE CONDITION :- The writing on the spine is crystal clear. No spine splits at all. Just very light signs of shelfwear in the two corners. Excellent condition.
THE TOP EDGE CONDITION :- The top edge shows just one light touch of shelfwear.
THE BOTTOM EDGE CONDITION :- The bottom edge is in fine condition bar a couple of light spots of shelfwear.
THE OPENING EDGE CONDITION :- The opening edge showws a a little softening of the sharp edge.
THE INNER SLEEVE CONDITION :- Generic white inner in Excellent condition. Not the original i don't think
