Rare 2000 repress of the Beatles' 1964 American album, complete with its infamous original cover! The story behind this cover is common rock folklore: Capitol initially saw fit to release the album with a cover photo of the Fab Four wearing butchers' smocks and covered in raw meat and baby doll parts, then realized this was maybe not a great idea and recalled it. The so-called "butcher cover" went on to become one of rock's great collectables. This is NOT an original copy, but rather a faithful repress issued in 2000 by Dr. Ebbetts Sound Systems. This particular version features a peculiarly textured reproduction of the photo; a later 2006 issue would feature cleaned-up artwork.
