Georges MIGOT (1891-1976) is a pupil of C.M. WIDOR and Vincent d'INDY. He was influenced by the XVth century polyphonists, by Rameau and Couperin. His music has been said polymelodic. As others of the XXth century french composers he is an atypical one, following his own way and finding nice orchestral colours.

Composed in 1909 for quartet with piano, orchestred in 1920, created in 1923 by Paul PARAY with the Concerts Lamoureux.

Instrumentation : drums, timpani, celeste, harp, piano and strings.

SLEEVES CONDITION: not original sleeves

RECORDS CONDITION : VG/VG+ global grading (nice glossy surface with only rare traces/very tiny accidents or hairlines — mostly on D-side —, also a « gold dust » area in wax on a side, from factory and not affecting sound ; also a thin wax defect at one border, very marginal, safely before music, no incidence ; a short needle damage affecting the 5 last revs on D-side = few average noises at the very end, only one of these noises affecting the last sounding note ; overwise plays VG+ or better with natural wax presence and occasional soft clicks)
