Our Record Grading System Shipping International Shipping ReturnsAs experienced record collectors, we know what to look for in vintage vinyl. We use standard record grading terminology, and our grades as follows:
Mint - Perfect in every way. We will never use this to describe any of our records, even if the record is sealed.
Near mint - A record that has never been played, or played minimally. No scratches or scuffs. The original dust jacket will be present and in pristine condition. The cardboard outer sleeve will have no signs of wear or damage.
Very good plus - A record that has been played and carefully stored. May exhibit minor scuffs that will not impact the sound quality. No scratches. May have other minor signs of use or wear. The sound quality will be excellent.
Very good - A record that has been played and may have light scratches and / or scuffs, or other signs of use and wear. The sound quality will be acceptable with background noise, but record will not skip.
Good - A record that will play without skipping but will have significant background noise. There may be moderate signs of use. This is the lowest grade of record that we will offer. They will be of acceptable quality, and priced accordingly.
