So here we have a UK 1st press of Jethro Tull’s second release Stand Up.

Housed in gatefold album cover, in a woodcut style designed by artist James Grashow which opens up to reveal a cut-out of the band's personnel stood up. 'Stand Up' won New Musical Express's award for best album artwork in 1969.

Released on the 1st press pink mat Island label with the large ‘orange circle’ eye at 9 o’clock housed within the 1st press unlaminated gatefold intricate printed sleeve,

The ‘pop-up’ design that stands up when the gatefold is opened works as perfectly as it did when it was first made, and so often these are broken or ripped in some way!
