Released in November 1973, Brain Salad Surgery is the fourth studio album from Emerson Lake and Palmer and is widely regarded

as their seminal work. Fusing rock and classical themes, the album sees lyricist Greg Lake collaborating with former King Crimson

band mate Pete Sinfield for the first time on an ELP album. The album's longest composition is Karn Evil 9,which

clocks in at a total of around 30 minutes , and is spread over three movements or impressions. Brain Salad Surgery peaked at #2 in the UK

and #11 in the US and was awarded gold status by both the BPI and RIAA.

A1: Jerusalem   A2: Toccata   A3: Still... You Turn Me On   A4: Benny The Bouncer   A5: Karn Evil (First Impression Part One)

B1: Karn Evil (First Impression Part Two)   B2: Karn Evil 9 (Third Impression)

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM :

in sound quality. The cover and any extra items like lyric sheet, poster or booklet are in

perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint

EXCELLENT : The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little

lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight

 wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD : The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major

deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light

scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items without any major defects,

is acceptable.
