AMERICAN FOLK MUSIC Vol. 3 SONGS edited by Harry Smith FOLKWAYS FA 2953 DEAD WAX: SIDE A: FP 253 A 3T SIDE B: FA 2953 B -2 1- 2 11- 62 SIDE C: FP 253-C-2 3T PB 2953 C SIDE D: FP 253 D 3T Has the original Folkways 117 W. 46 St. NYC address on label. Later pressings (1966 etc.) have 7th Ave address. Thick vinyl . I assume it is either a 2nd 1950's or early '60s pressing. The first was FA 253 1952 In the dead wax are the #'s 3 62. Perhaps that means March 1962.
VINYL: looks VG++ / ex plays VG to VG+ BOX: VG- box has a lot of tape repairs on all corners & along 1 edge I just did a basic hand cleaning. I don't have a machine.

GRADING
NM Should sound new. Record and cover appear virtually
unmarked, Might be 1 or 2 almost unnoticeable marks.
Cover in shrink.
VG++ Should sound almost NM or not far from it.
VG+ Used but not abused. Will have some relatively slight audible &/or visual imperfections.
VG Still enjoyable but there will be quite obvious visual & audible imperfections.
In this condition cover flaws will be noted or pictured.
VG- Same as VG but defects are more pronounced.
G+ Still playable but thats the best that can be said.

100% ACCURACY IN GRADING RECORDS IS A
JOB FOR SUPERMAN!
At times defects will show up differently on different players. For instance,
depending on the weight that a tone arm is set at or the quality of the stylus
what is just a pop on one player can sometimes be a skip on another
