Synth Pop style Vinyl, LP, Album, Picture Disc format Very Good sleeve Very Good record Custom die-cut sleeve with record
sleeve shows few light crease marks + bottom front side small area with sticker residue/impression remains
record closer to VG+ with minimal surface noise heard ~ No skips
LP sounds much better than most pic discs as it is my experience that picture discs usually have some amount of surface noise

tracklist

Very successful British synth pop duo (Annie Lennox and David A. Stewart). They first recorded together as members of new wave band The Catch who would change their name to The Tourists. In 1981, Lennox and Stewart made their debut as Eurythmics, breaking through with their sixth single "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)". This was the turning point of their career, and they continued to be one of the leading synth groups throughout the eighties.

AMG EXPERT REIEW of LP
Eurythmics followed their 1982 breakthrough album Sweet Dreams with the superior Touch, which yielded three hit singles and kept the innovative duo at the forefront of the 1980s British new wave explosion and MTV phenomenon. Mixing cold, hard, synthesized riffs with warm, luscious vocals, the duo crafted some of the most unique and trendsetting music the 1980s had to offer. Subsequent albums found the duo leaning heavier toward straightforward rock -- this album found them at the height of their electronic incarnation. The lead single, "Here Comes the Rain Again," is a melodramatic opus, complete with pre-techno beats, sweeping strings, and Annie Lennox' rushing, cool vocals. The soulful "Who's That Girl" is an icy, steamy throwback to the torch songs of yesteryear, with Lennox oozing sensuality from every syllable emitted from her lips. The final hit, "Right by Your Side," finds the duo in a cheerful, Caribbean-inspired mode. Other standouts include the seven-and-a-half-minute disco trance of "Paint a Rumour," the driving "The First Cut," and the icy, spellbinding, and sparse "No Fear No Hate No Pain (No Broken Hearts)." The cool, sophisticated musical experimentalism all over Touch cemented Eurythmics' reputation as one of the most innovative duos of their time; the hit singles solidified their reputation as dependable 1980s hitmakers and MTV mainstays. Touch is a testament to what Eurythmics were at the height of their electronic-techno phase and, without doubt, is a milestone in 1980s pop music ... Jose F. Promis - AMG

Goldmine Vinyl Grading Guide
( brief description of grades below )
M = Mint
still factory sealed or brand new. A Mint record or sleeve should look perfect, like it has just left the manufacturer.

NM = Near Mint
Sleeve should look as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and/or age. Minor impressions to the cover may be acceptable.
Record may have a very minor scuff but very little else can appear on the vinyl. It should play without any noise over the flaw. The flaw should be very hard to see.

VG+ = Very Good+
Sleeve should be a virtually clean cover. The artwork should look clean with slightly more aging. Some minor wear to the seams or spine, corners may be slightly dog eared.
Record will show wear, surface scuffs & light scratches. Vinyl should still have a great luster, but the flaws are noticeable to the naked eye.
FYI: Other sellers often grade EX or VG++, these are not official grades used in Goldmine's Grading Guide so any records or sleeves that I would consider grading as EX or VG++ will be graded VG+.

VG = Very Good
Sleeve will look worn & used. There will be some ring wear. Still it should be decent and Not have taped seams or water damage.
Record should STILL play very good, there will almost always be some surface noise when they are played. Dynamics should still be excellent, overpowering the surface noise.
FYI: I rarely sell records that would grade below VG unless they are rare and hard to find recordings.

G = Good
Sleeve will look worn & used. There will be some ring wear. It will look aged and more yellowish due to contaminants in the air. It will have seam splits (possibly taped and repaired, but only with scotch tape. No duct tape or masking tape repairs).
Record will look very well played. It will have distracting surface noise, such as crackle that is continuous. Will also have some loss of dynamics caused from grooves being worn. It should play without any skips or any obtrusively loud pops or repeated clicks caused by deep scratches. Good means that it will play with some form of decency, so one can still enjoy the music even though you can still hear noise caused from the wear.
