Verdi's Nabucco. Quadraphonic/stereo compatible 3-LP vinyl record box set on Angel Records, #SCLX-3850. Includes the original libretto booklet in nice shape. Starring: Matteo Manuguerra, Renata Scotto, Nicolai Ghiaurov, Veriano Luchetti and Elena Obraztsova, with the Ambrosian Opera Chorus and Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Riccardo Muti. The records are in VG+ condition (graded with a brief play-testing of each side); box is VG+ with light wear.
Unless otherwise stated, we grade VISUALLY using a system similar to Goldmine. To remain conservative, we DO NOT give MINT gradings (assuming that no record is necessarily perfect, even if it is new). Our grading system is as follows:
SEALED - Still sealed, not opened. May have cover wear, any wear or damage noted in description.
NEAR MINT (NM) - Looks like new (unplayed); no visual flaws of any kind. A NM cover is free of creases, ring wear and seam splits of any kind.
NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) - Record may have very light sleeve or storage wear (which does not affect play). Most NM- records appear (or are known to be) unplayed. A NM- cover has only very minimal flaws.
VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) - A VG+ record may have very light surface scuffs and/or very light marks that do not significantly affect one‘s listening experience. A VG+ cover has only very minor wear.
VERY GOOD (VG) - A VG record has obvious signs of playing (I.E. scuffs, light scratches and/or groove wear); and may have some audible surface noise (which should not overwhelm the overall listening experience). A VG cover will have more noticeable wear or small splits.
GOOD - Good does not mean bad! Record has obvious signs of use and wear (such as scuffs, scratches, groove wear, etc). Still plays through without skipping, but has more significant surface noise. A Good cover may have several flaws, such as wear, edge splits, writing, stains, and tape, which are noticeable, but do not obliterate the artwork.
FAIR - Record has scratches, heavy scuffs, groove wear, or other significant damage. A Fair record should be considered AS-IS: likely to skip or repeat when playing. A Fair cover is overwhelmed with splits, wear or damage.
Any cut-outs, cut corners, or punch holes will be noted in addition to a grading. A “strong“ grading means the record appears (or is known to be) slightly better than average for its grading category.
