Sex Pistols- Pretty Vacant  / Submission USA Promo Stereo / Mono

Cat num: wbs8516

This is the promo copy that plays Pretty Vacant on both sides, one side is stereo the other mono.

Very rare Warner Brothers USA issue not a RSD reissue or a bootleg repro.

Matrix etchings:  Mono side - WBS 8516 VAA-7565-DJ LW1 / Stereo side - WBS 8516 VAA-7565-S LW1

The vinyl is in EX condition and looks like it's had very little play. Stored in separate poly lined sleeve.

The sleeve is EX + with no splits, no rips, no creasing, ringing or writing. Some minor thumbing at top opening consistent with a 39 year old record. A very well preserved example of this Pistols rarity.

About me: I have been collecting and working with records for over 30 years and spent almost all of the 80’s working in a vinyl record shop, and now run an independent vinyl shop of my own, and I only list top quality rare titles on ebay. I will often be conservative and under grade, which means nothing that is secondhand is ever graded Mint, even if it looks unplayed.

If a record is graded with "some pop and crackle" then this means only that, and it will be stated if this constant or very sporadic. It should be noted that even BRAND NEW pressings will also often contain such issues. The point I am making is that you must expect some minor pop and crackle on vinyl, and this is taken into consideration in my grading details.

All records are carefully play tested before listing on a Technics SL1600 turntable. Most of my records will be listed as VG or EX even if they are in better condition. I don't list anything lower unless it is very rare, i.e Hendrix first presses ect, which are almost impossible to find in true EX gradings.

Records are graded according to the official Record Collector grading guide below.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
