Tommy James & The Shondells originally recorded their chart topping song "Hanky Panky" in 1960. However, it was not until 1966 that the record became a #1 hit and launched the career of the group. From that point, they had one hit after another including "I Think We're Along Now," #4, April 1967, "Mirage" #10, June 1967 and "Gettin' Together" #18, September 1967.
