This is the original deep-groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Gile Melle “Patterns in Jazz” on the Lexington Avenue labels of Blue Note BLP 1517. The flat-rim playing surface has the luster of a record that has only been played once or twice, but there are light tics on the first track on both sides. The Lexington Avenue frame cover is clean throughout; the bottom seam has been neatly repaired.
Personnel include Eddie Bert, Joe Cinderella, Oscar Pettiford, and Ed Thigpen.
