Francis Albert "Frank" Sinatra (December 12, 1915 – May 14, 1998) was an American singer, actor, and producer who was one of the most popular and influential musical artists of the 20th century. Sinatra's music has been considered timeless by many. He is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more than 150 million records worldwide. Born in Hoboken, New Jersey, to Italian immigrants, he began his musical career in theswing era with Harry James and Tommy Dorsey. He found success as a solo artist after being signed by Columbia Records in 1943, becoming the idol of the "bobby soxers". He released his first album, The Voice of Frank Sinatra, in 1946. Sinatra's professional career had stalled by the early 1950s, and he turned to Las Vegas, where he became one of its best known performers as part of the Rat Pack. His career was reborn in 1953 with the success of From Here to Eternity and his subsequent Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. He signed with Capitol Records and released several critically lauded albums, including In the Wee Small Hours (1955), Songs for Swingin' Lovers!(1956), Come Fly with Me (1958), Only the Lonely (1958) and Nice 'n' Easy (1960).

Sinatra left Capitol in 1960 to start his own record label, Reprise Records, and released a string of successful albums. In 1965 he recorded the retrospective September of My Years, starred in the Emmy-winning television special Frank Sinatra: A Man and His Music, and scored hits with "Strangers in the Night" and "My Way". After releasing Sinatra at the Sands, recorded at the Sands Hotel and Casino in Vegas with frequent collaborator Count Basie in early 1966, the following year he recorded one of his most famous collaborations with Tom Jobim, the album Francis Albert Sinatra & Antonio Carlos Jobim. It was followed by 1968's collaboration with Duke Ellington. Sinatra retired for the first time in 1971, but came out of retirement two years later and recorded several albums and resumed performing atCaesars Palace. In 1980 he scored a Top 40 hit with "(Theme From) New York, New York". Using his Las Vegas shows as a home base, he toured both within the United States and internationally until a short time before his death in 1998.

Sinatra forged a highly successful career as a film actor. After winning an Academy Award for From Here to Eternity, he starred in The Man with the Golden Arm (1955), and received critical acclaim for his performance in The Manchurian Candidate (1962). He appeared in various musicals such as On the Town (1949), Guys and Dolls(1955), High Society (1956), and Pal Joey (1957), and toward the end of his career he became associated with playing detectives, including the title character in Tony Rome (1967). On television, The Frank Sinatra Show began on ABC in 1950, and he continued to make appearances on television throughout the 1950s and 1960s. Sinatra was also heavily involved with politics from the mid-1940s, and actively campaigned for presidents such as Harry S. Truman, John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan, though before Kennedy's death Sinatra's alleged Mafia connections led to his being snubbed. (The Nevada Gaming Commission stripped Sinatra of his gambling license after he failed to meet an October 7, 1963 deadline for refuting charges of close associations with Chicago mobster Sam Giancana.)

While Sinatra never formally learned how to read music, he had a fine, natural understanding of it, and he worked very hard from a young age to improve his abilities in all aspects of music. A perfectionist, renowned for his impeccable dress sense and cleanliness, he always insisted on recording live with his band. His deep blue eyes earned him the popular nickname "Ol' Blue Eyes". Sinatra led a colorful personal life, and was often involved in turbulent affairs with women, such as with his second wife Ava Gardner. He went on to marry Mia Farrow in 1966 and Barbara Marx in 1976. Sinatra had several violent confrontations, usually with journalists he felt had crossed him, or work bosses with whom he had disagreements. He was honored at the Kennedy Center Honors in 1983, was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Ronald Reagan in 1985, and the Congressional Gold Medal in 1997. Sinatra was also the recipient of eleven Grammy Awards, including the Grammy Trustees Award, Grammy Legend Award and the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. After his death, American music critic Robert Christgaucalled him "the greatest singer of the 20th century", and he continues to be seen as an iconic figure.

In the Wee Small Hours is the ninth studio album by American vocalist Frank Sinatra. It was released in April 1955 on Capitol Records, produced by Voyle Gilmore with arrangements by Nelson Riddle. All the songs on the album deal with specific themes such as loneliness, introspection, lost love, failed relationships, depression and night-life; as a result, In the Wee Small Hours has been called one of the first concept albums. The cover artwork reflects these themes, portraying Sinatra on an eerie and deserted street awash in blue-tinged street lights. He had been developing this idea since 1946 with his first album release, The Voice; he would successfully continue this "concept" formula with later albums such as Songs for Swingin' Lovers! and Only the Lonely.

In the Wee Small Hours was issued as two 10-inch LP discs, and also as one 12-inch record LP, making it one of the first of its kind in the pop field. It was also issued as four four–song 45-rpm EP discs sold in cardboard sleeves with the same cover as the LPs, not in paper covers like 45-rpm singles.

The album was a commercial success, reaching number 2 on the US charts where it stayed for 18 weeks, being Sinatra's highest charting album since his 1947 release Songs by Sinatra. As of 2002 it has been certified Gold by the RIAA, selling over 500,000 units. The album was also a critical success, and is listed as the third most acclaimed album of the 1950s. In 2012, Rolling Stone ranked it the 101st greatest album of all time.

- When finished shopping, click the button to ask for an updated invoice or message me directly to get an updated invoice.

***In the event that multiple shipping fees are paid, I am perfectly happy to reimburse any additional fees, this will usually be handled through Paypal. I have no desire to charge multiple shipping fees when I will be sending the items together. If you do prefer to have items sent separately, or if you have any questions please ask via eBay messages***

***If you purchase multiple items on different days, please keep in mind that it's quite possible the first package was already dispatched and another package will need to be sent, in this instance I will be keeping both shipping fees.***

***PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST TO HAVE THE ITEM SENT TO AN ADDRESS DIFFERENT FROM WHAT IS LISTED IN YOUR EBAY AND PAYPAL ACCOUNTS*** I will send the item only to the address that was listed in the transaction. The reason why; if I don't send the item to the provided address my seller protections immediately vanish. Refunds or reimbursements will not be made for any of the items features that were stated in the description, or clearly visible in the photos. We try our hardest and believe we are fair and honest with our grading, but we're all human and mistakes or oversights can happen so in these instances we try to be flexible. If you feel the product received does not meet the stated item description, please contact me via eBay messages within 7 days of receiving. We will explore the options and I'm sure we can work something out, if a refund is necessary it can be arranged. Refunds will be made only after return shipment to, and re-inspection by the seller. We are not financially responsible for mishandling of parcels by the postal service.

4. PACKAGING

***Records will be shipped outside of the jacket in order to avoid seam splits. If a record is still sealed it will be shipped to you as is - please send me a message if you'd like me to break the seal and remove it from the jacket***

The cost that you pay for shipping will most often be rounded up, the additional funds are what is used to buy packaging materials such as: mailers, boxes, padded envelopes, bubble wrap, cardboard stiffeners or tape. These items are necessary to ensure a safe delivery, I package my items with tender loving care and my techniques have been very successful with hundreds of happy customers. If you have specific questions or requests for packaging please let me know via eBay messages. At times a buyer might have a request that I feel is a bit excessive or unnecessary, if we cannot reach an agreement then the transaction may be canceled.

5. CLEANING RECORDS

If it's plain to see that a record needs cleaned, I will clean it. I believe in finding out the maximum potential of what the wax has to offer, I have a method I've used for years that truly works wonders. I spray the record with a cleaning solution that's made up of rubbing alcohol, dish soap (free & clear), and water. I then rinse the record off using my own method that keeps the water off of the label, if any drops still find their way they are wiped off immediately. The record is then air dried.

6. GRADING DESCRIPTIONS

Guidelines for record grading / condition of used records (based on Goldmine Grading for Records)

MINT (M): Perfect! This record looks like it has just left the manufacturer, with NO flaws what so ever. It looks as though it had never been handled. No scuffs or scratches, blotches or stains. No stickers or writing address labels. COVER: No writing, no tears or seam splits. No wear to the cover or record period! Age of the record has nothing to do with it.

NEAR MINT or (NM), (M-): RECORD: Record appears virtually flawless. A very minor scuff and very little else appears on the vinyl. It should play without any noise over the flaw. The flaw is very hard to see. COVER: The cover looks as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and or age. Minor impressions to the cover (due to the outer edge of the vinyl resting inside) may be acceptable, however the artwork is as close to perfect as can be.

(VG++), EXCELLENT or (EX): RECORD: Will have minor scuffs which are only slightly visible. There may be more than a few scuffs and NO scratches. COVER: Artwork is still as close to perfect as can be. Some impression to the cover (minor outer ring wear) but no ink wear! Some slight creases to the corners, but not wrinkled and obtrusive to the eye. The corners can show white (where the artwork pasted slick was) meaning, slight wear. No seam splits, writing on the cover or taped repairs.

VERY GOOD PLUS or (VG+): RECORD: A VG+ record shows some wear and surface scuffs. The vinyl still has a great luster, but the flaws will be noticeable to the naked eye. Visible flaws don't cause too much surface noise. COVER: A virtually clean cover, but may have small writing on it. The artwork looks clean with slightly more aging. Flat white paper will be somewhat yellow, but no large stains or mildew from water damage. Some minor wear to the seams or spine, but no significant tears or holes popping through. The corners will be slightly dog eared, but no crackly bends, defacing the artwork.

VERY GOOD or (VG): RECORD: A record that is good enough. They are not really going to look very good, but will PLAY very good. There will almost always be some surface noise when they are played. The Dynamics should still be excellent, overpowering the surface noise. A VG record will look like it has been played, but still have some luster. COVER: VG covers will look worn, used. There may be some seam splitting . There may be some ring wear, where the ink has begun to wear off, giving the cover a look of snow falling. There may be some writing on the cover, item description will address these issues. It will look aged and more yellowish due to contamination's in the air (sometimes looking like cigarette smoke), but should be decent.

GOOD or (G): RECORD: A good record will look very well played, dull, grayish and possibly abused. However a Good record should still play. It will have distracting surface noise. Such as crackle that is continuous or some hiss. Will also have some loss of dynamics caused from grooves being worn. It should play without any skips or any obtrusively loud pops or repeated clicks, caused by deep scratches. Good means that it will play with some form of decency, so one can still enjoy the music even though you can still hear noise caused from the wear. COVER: Good cover will have just about everything wrong with it. It will have seam splits (possibly taped repaired, but only with scotch tape. No duct tape or masking tape repairs. May have magic marker writing on the cover but will not be in huge letters.  In essence, the cover will looked virtually trashed, but some artwork will still be noticed.
