As Charles Manson awaited trial for the 1969 murders of seven people, the music he had recorded between 1967 and 1968 saw the light of day. “Lie: The Love and Terror Cult” was originally released on March 6, 1970. 

Manson’s songs are a surprise to many. A folk-singer from the darkest corners of the American experience, he possesses a voice full of expression and lyrics that are as direct as his music. “Look At Your Game, Girl”, “Home Is Where You're Happy”, “True Love You Will Find”, “Eyes of a Dreamer”, & “Maiden with Green Eyes” are songs of true beauty. “Ego”, “Mechanical Man”, & “Two Pairs of Shoes” sound similar to the proto-brilliance of early Velvet Underground, while material like “Garbage Dump” & “Big Iron Door” sound like nothing from their time. 

46 years after it’s release, “Lie” has proven to be an underground cult classic. This limited reissue features all of the original artwork and comes pressed on both red & black vinyl. Limited edition pressing. English import.
