Step-Forward Records SFLP 4 (1979)

 

(VG+/Ex) The sleeve and record are in pretty good condition for a 39-year-old copy. The sleeve shows a moderate amount creasing and yellowing to the edges with some edge wear, and is in otherwise excellent condition. The labels are good, with just some spindle-marks and a two patches of staining on side 1 (see photo). The record is has some hairline marks and just one more visible scratch, which I just tested. Apart from some light background crackle in places and the occasional click, there shouldn’t be any reduction in sound quality. Note: much of this album is a fairly lo-fi recording,

 

The Fall’s second album. While it doesn’t quite reach the heights of Witch Trials, it does contain some essential tracks, including the spooky genius of ‘Spectre vs. Rector’. Worth buying for that track alone.

 

This copy is the original 1979 pressing, with the hand-etched runouts SFLP 4 A-2 LYN7552 / SFLP 4 B-2 LYN7553. It does not contain the insert.

The record will be cleaned carefully on a Knosti Disco Anti-Stat record cleaning machine before dispatch. Please let me know as early as possible if you don’t want it to be cleaned.
