This is the original deep-groove RVG-etched “P” pressing of Thad Jones “Detroit – New York Junction” on the Lexington Avenue labels of Blue Note BLP 1513. The flat-rim playing surface is in as-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The coated Lexington Avenue frame cover is also in extraordinary condition – bright and clean throughout; the back slick has a ¼” chip at the upper left corner and very light wear along the top edge.
Personnel include Billy Mitchell, Kenny Burrell, Tommy Flanagan, Oscar Pettiford, and Shadow Wilson.
